Driver Agreement: Terms and Conditions for Grocelivery Services Ltd

This Driver Agreement (“Agreement”) delineates the terms and conditions governing the provision of delivery services by you, a self-employed driver (“Driver”), to customers referred by Grocelivery Services Ltd (“Grocelivery” or “us”). By enlisting as a Driver on our platform, you affirm your commitment to adhering to all pertinent laws, rules, and regulations related to the delivery services, encompassing driving and insurance.

Grocelivery does not offer legal or financial advice. It is strongly recommended that you seek professional advice to ensure compliance with all legal and financial obligations pertinent to your status as a self-employed contractor.

Right to Work in the UK

Upon signing up on our website, you confirm possessing the legal right to work in the United Kingdom as a self-employed contractor. Additionally, you agree to promptly furnish us with any requested information pertaining to your identity and right to work, as required from time to time.

Order Dispatch and Acceptance

You acknowledge that we may communicate delivery details to you during your specified availability times via our app. Each delivery request will be assigned to the first Driver responding to these details. No assurance is provided regarding a minimum number of deliveries. When you accept a delivery request, you enter into a contract with the customer based on the terms of the Delivery Agreement, provided to you at that time.

Delivery Fulfillment

You bear the responsibility of fulfilling the terms of each Delivery Agreement, utilizing your funds, when necessary, for item purchases (in adherence to our substitution policy, if applicable), entering item prices into our app (while noting any out-of-stock items), and delivering the items to the specified address within the designated time frame. Post-delivery completion, confirmation is required through our app. It is essential to recognize that you purchase items as the customer’s agent.

Payment and Service Fee

Upon receipt of the receipt you acquire as a ‘walk-in customer’ from the shop(s), we will remit the shop(s) price for the items delivered, accompanied by the agreed delivery fee, on the day following the delivery. A service fee per order is retained, calculated by deducting the agreed delivery fee, any bonus, amounts applicable to purchased products, and compensation payments made to the customer due to your failure to meet obligations under these terms.

Customer Communication

Direct customer contact should only be made for reasons directly associated with the delivery. Deliveries to customers referred by us should exclusively occur via our platform and app.

App License

We confer a non-exclusive license to use our app, contingent on your adherence to our instructions and refraining from actions inconsistent with our app ownership. This encompasses maintaining app password confidentiality and preventing any unauthorized use.

Age Verification

For alcohol or tobacco deliveries, if the customer seems under 25, you must request valid proof of age via a driving license or passport. No alternative proof is accepted. If valid ID isn’t provided, return alcohol or tobacco to the shop for a refund while still receiving payment for the delivery.

Location Tracking

You grant us the necessary rights to track your device’s location for sending orders, tracking progress, preventing fraud, and enhancing service. Acquired personal data will solely be used for these specified purposes.

Discrepancy Reporting

Any payment discrepancies must be reported within 14 days, as rectifications cannot be made post this period.
